FAQ

PRICING:

  1. There's NO MINIMUM to order.
  2. All prices are FOB City of Industry, CA Warehouse.
  3. Call for applicable discount on large volume orders.
  4. Direct Import Program is available.

PAYMENT:

  1. PREPAID by check, visa, master card, american express or discover.
  2. Checks, please be mailed to: Mod Made, 1307 John Reed Court, City of Industry CA 91745 (Returned checks are subject to $25 charge; Checks must clear through our bank before merchandise is released or shipped)
  3. Payment terms will be extended only to customers with a purchasing history with Mod Made. Terms are Net 30 days from the date of the invoice. Shipment will not be released to past due accounts until it's current.

CA SALES TAX ON DROP SHIPMENTS:

Retailers outside CA, please note: California law requires that California based corporations collect sales tax on drop ship transactions sold by out-of-state retailers and delivered to consumers in California. Effective September 1, 2014, Mod Made, as a California based corporation, will collect 9% sales tax* on these drop shipments unless the out-of-state retailer holds a California seller’s permit, and a California resale certificate is on file with Mod Made. California retailers with California resale certificates on file with Mod Made will be responsible for the collection and remittance of sales tax for their drop ship sales to California residents.

SHIPPING:

  1. In-stocked items will be ready to ship within 3 business days.
  2. Most orders are shipped via Fedex. Large items and volume orders will shipped via Common Carrier.
  3. Customers can use either their choice of shipping method or Mod Made's account.
  4. Default shipping option is curbside delivery if shipping on Mod Made's account. For any upgrade services, please contact account manager.
  5. Before signing the freight bill, please inspect the shipment for damages. Please make sure the carrier signs the freight bill for any damages. In case of freight damage in transit, a replacement is only available at no cost to the buyer when proper notations are made to the Bill of Lading/Proof of Delivery Form. (Please review "Freight Claim" section below for more detail)
  6. All Bill of Lading/Proof of Delievery Form must be signed by the customer or receiving agent at time of delivery. Please do not allow the carrier to leave the order/product without a signature on the Bill of Lading or Mod Made will not be held liable for any damage claims.
  7. Orders can be held for 10 business days. Any in-stocked merchandise held over 10 business days from the date the order was processed will be charged $25/day or $125/week storage fee.

CANCELLATION:

  1. Orders can be canceled before they leave our warehouse without any cost to the buyer. (Exception: Pre-order of $5000 or more value of merchandise are subject to 5% cancellation fee.)
  2. Orders canceled when they are in transit, they can be returned under our standard return policy (costs involved).

RETURN:

  1. Return of an unopened product is acceptable within 30 days with 10% restocking fee.
  2. All return shipment costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
  3. All original shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, non-refundable.
  4. If shipped on Mod Made's account, we will issue full refund less restocking fee and the round trip shipping costs.
  5. We do not accept or exchange of any used, displayed or assembled product.
  6. Please contact account manager for RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number to be placed on the return package together with original invoice.
  7. Mod Made will not be held responsible for any return item lost in transit. It's highly recommend you use a traceable and insured shipping method.
  8. Credits towards the account for the return will occur as soon as the merchandise is received and inspected by Mod Made.
  9. In terms of damage/defect, we provide free* replacement of part or entire merchandise. However, if you decide you do not want parts or a replacement, the item can be returned under our standard return policy (costs involved).

*In case of freight damage in transit, a replacement is only available at no cost to the buyer when proper notations are made to the Bill of Lading/Proof of Delivery Form.

MANUFACTURER DEFECT CLAIM:

  1. Any claim for defective merchandise must be made within 7 days from the date of receiving the order. After 7 days, there's no service agreement.
  2. Photographic proof is required to claim defective/damaged merchandise with a copy of an invoice. Please email to: service@modmade.com.
  3. Mod Made reserves the right to determine whether an item will be entirely replaced or to issue replacement part(s) to correct the defect.
  4. If an item is deemed to contain a manufacturer defect, Mod made will ship a new item or replacement part at no charge. However, all original shipping costs will remain the responsibility of the buyer and are non-refundable.
  5. All original shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, non-refundable.

FREIGHT CLAIM:

  1. Any freight claim must be made within 5 days from the date of receiving the order. After 5 days, there's no service agreement.
  2. Photographic proof is required to claim freight with a copy of an invoice. Please email to: service@modmade.com.
  3. All original shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, non-refundable (unless reimbursed by the carrier).
  4. Replacements are decided case by case. Sometimes a new item is sent but sometimes parts are enough to rectify the situation.
  5. If there's freight damage shipped on Mod Made's account,
    • A replacement is only available at no cost to the buyer when proper notations are made to the Bill of Lading/ Proof of Delivery Form.
    • If merchandise is delivered without inspection of damages prior to signing the Bill of Lading (where notations are to be made), the buyer will be responsible for purchasing the replacement. When the claim is approved and paid by the carrier, buyer will be refunded.

Please HOLD ALL ITEMS until further notice. Most carrier have a time frame of 90 days to process any claim. Once we have submitted the complete claim, we will contact the carrier on your behalf to help resolve any issue in a timely manner. WARRANTY:

Mod Made offers 90 days limited warranty from the date of receiving the order. This warranty does not cover scratches, gouges, stains, heat marks, water marks, imprints, ink, marker, abuse, neglect, shrinkage, wrinkling of fabric and normal wear.

If the claim is determined to have manufacturing issue, Mod Made reserves the right to exercise one of the following at its sole discretion:

  • Service the item at customer's place
  • Replace any part(s) of the merchandise
  • Replace the entire merchandise
